Client agrees to keep [investigations company] informed regarding the status of the case. Client shall immediately inform [investigations company] of any reliability challenges or motions in limine regarding opinions expressed by [investigations company], and will provide [investigations company] with copies of any proposed responses to such motions.
I don't know if this goes far enough, but it's better than nothing. I highly recommend Brian's latest article in Fire Findings, or in the alternative, the paper he gave at ISFI in May.
