This post was very interesting. It seems to be completely counter to may commonly held positions on combustion and fire dynamics.
Can you cite any literature where we can find the source of this "interesting proposition," the definitions of a "reverse flame," or “oxygen burning,” or any circumstances wherein "the overhead space" is NOT "...significantly cooler than the flame?"
