Is there an unreasonable degree of scientific certainty? If the purpose of using this statement is to tell the trier of fact that the scientific method was use, why not keep it simple and say that the methodology used in reaching the conclusion was the scientific method. The use of the words the scientific method was used to reach a conclusion is just as qualitative and it is not a controversial statement. Why put oneself in a place exposing yourself to unnecessary question.
