I'm sorry Jim. You are right. My point was to refute the sometimes used theory that if a fire occurs during the commision of a burglary it is therefore incendiary. That is not the case. It is probably arson, but not necessarily incendiary.
During my wasted youth, many, many years ago I investigated a burglary in which the perpitrator used matches to illuminate his entry into the house. The carelessly discarded matches caused a fire. This fire was accidental and an arson.
