The class was local and the instructor goes to numerous classes giving this course. Multiple groups sponsored the class. There were somewhere around 60 investigators present. If you remember my past post on the subject, I do not put the student on trial for what is taught by the instructor. I have no idea if there were any complaints.
Why is the only way we think of correcting a problem is through direct confrontation. As individuals, we have so many different beliefs, and ideas about how our profession ought that we know there will be disagreement. Conflicts in and of themselves offer us the potential to stimulate our thinking on a specific subject, and allows us to reexamine our beliefs and consider making a change. The direct confrontation on this subject has resulted in this being perceived as a win/lose situation. I am not saying this is not a problem in our profession, but the direction to the correction of the problem is through education and quality training.
