That is what I have been saying all along, it is a tool to be used in applying the falsification method.
The elimination process, as described in NFPA’s instructions are, “The act of considering and rejecting each possible choice until only one is left.” If one look at the definition suggested by NFPA and compares it to the different task set forth in 921 they will find the two matches.
Of course, one can take the position that the NFPA instructions are wrong or not necessary.
