If that is not what you are suggesting then I need you to clarify your meaning of how you expect to reach your goal.
I may not be accurately addressing your post because I am not understanding the terms you are using in your statements. You said there needs to be a uniform way of investigating. I was asking by you using the term uniform, did you mean one of two ways I suggested. All you had to do was clarify how you would make something uniform across the country and for different types of agencies. There was no twisting of opinions with my answer. I must say from all your post you seem to have a personal agenda on this subject.
You have made it known that it is your belief that you want NFPA 921 to be a standard that all investigators must follow if their investigation is to be accepted. If the organization that develops and publishes this document unconditionally states they have no intent of this document being a standard and say they will not stand by the accuracy or completeness of the document, you still want it to be the standard all investigators must follow? Even taking this information into consideration, I have no problem with any person adopting their own standard for the work they do. If you want it to be your standard I will not say you are wrong for doing it.
Please tell all of us how you suggest this document become a standard that all investigators must follow if you some how do not use the legal system.
You asked how we all get on the same page if this document is not accepted by all as a standard and I gave you ways that investigators can be on the same page.
I would like to know more about you and why you feel so strongly about this subject. This can not be done here, but if you would like to contact me directly please do. As I said there is the appearance of something more than just a concern for the quality of the profession.
