My concern is specificly the quality of the profession. I have no agenda other then a uniform directive of how to investigate a fire. Actually how not to investigate a fire. I believe with so many years of thought that went into 921 why would it not be the standard? That is the question you have failed to answer for me. When 921 is mentioned in this forum so many get crazy. You could say whatever you want. there are more then a few investigators who are afraid of a standard. I cannot understand why. I do not need an agenda to wonder why. You need to ask yourself why you are so deeply opinionated of why it wouldn't work. You only answer part of every question. You answer the parts that you think are easy. Are you not concerned that your profession in it's present form can be randomly interpeted by just about anyone anyway they feel fit ? I think it was Dr Gerald Hurst that said it's voodoo and tea leaves. Is that what you want to be a part of. A standard of investigation would eliminate that possibility. I have read 921 a dozen times. Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Lentini. who you said are self tought. Do they feel a standard is needed ? You cannot allow rougue investigators the ability to interpit a fire scene any way that benefits them personally. Even if it is in the minority. The majority needs to eliminate that possibility
