While having one or more of your colleagues or fellow employees look at, and ultimately agree with your opinions, though it is a form of "peer review," it is definitely not scientific peer review.
Scientific peer review is putting your opinions or scientific theory out on the "scientific street" for crtique by qualified, unbiased, objective indiviuals who are outside of your realm of influence.
