Your question is like asking one, with no room for error, how many stars or planets exist. As technology improves we learn more or less. I just was told that Pluto is no longer considered a planet. Now how many hypothesis were based on Pluto being a planet and now they are all disproved because of this one fact. No one keeps records as to who agrees with who on investigations.
