If I understand your suggestion, there would be but one method for testing a hypothesis. My question what person or group would develop this method to be used? Would this be a strict step by step procedure to be followed? Would these steps be based on the conventional wisdom in fire investigations as to how one should test a hypothesis?
Before you can ask others to agree or disagree with your suggestion, I think you need to answer these question.
