I did not say, nor did I mean that there is a difference between science and math with regard to the proof of an hypothesis.
what you are missing is that there are hypotheses which can be proved and hypotheses which cannot.
Proving an hypothesis within the context of its stated or implied limitations is frequently possible. It all depends on the nature of the hypothesis.
