First of all this is just my hypothesis based on my collection of the data. In testing this hypothesis, as it deals with science, I was surprised that this was well throughout the scientific community and in the different professions that uses science as its base. If I understand your post, you are looking for absolutes that are black and white. There are not many professions where there is such a degree of certainty.
If you are looking to where there is no margin for error in a persons finding as to the cause of a fire, I am not sure how to tell you that can be accomplished on every case. Even the Supreme Court in Daubert recognized there is a margin of error to some degree.
