As a public agency investigator it hasn’t changed anything. We’re still required as an agency to fill out NFIRS reports and select the appropriate classification. It has always been a separate analysis and process from cause determination even when it was in 921, so I didn’t understand all the dust kick up that was created by the removal of chapter 20. Similar to determining if a particular penal code section had been violated even if the cause of the fire was accidental. Non-issue IMO.
