I just had a thought about your last post. I guess I am having a difficult time understanding the problem because of my company’s handling this situation. Because of our ISO Accreditation program, we have a third independent party review our investigations. They evaluate each employee’s job performance. One of the steps in the investigation is to look at the investigator’s workbook for that investigation and compare it to his report. If he fails to address each point in the workbook in his report, he must justify to the person conducting the review as to why it was not covered. If it is not justified, then there must be a corrective action report outlining what is being done to correct this deficiency.
