As a rather large municipality, we create tons of files and paperwork, and yes we save every piece of paperwork generated regarding the investigation. I cannot see any value in destroying them. Like Pat said, you never know, even if it is thirty years later, (although it is long time). I'd rather have the information tucked away nice and safe than not having it at all.
